About – MES (Mahanadi Education Society)
The "Mahanadi Education Society" came into existence in the year 1994 when a group of technocrats, industrialists, professionals and persons with technical background came together to work towards providing avenues in higher education for the common people. The Society was registered with the Registrar of Firms & Societies, Government of Madhya Pradesh; in the year 1994.
Mission
"The Society dedicates itself to work to improve the lot of the youth by providing them with increased opportunities of education especially technical education, with an objective of improving their technical knowledge and skills. The aim of the Society is to provide value added education for the youth and to work for utilization of the value created through fostering a linkage with industries. The Society also undertakes to work for betterment of human life through utilization of modern technology."
Vision
"Mahanadi Education Society foresees a pioneering role for itself in the spread of modern education in the State of Chhattisgarh. The society looks forward to work as a catalyst for bringing about socio-economic transformation of the society by providing avenues of education in the frontier areas of science and technology."
Activities
"The first institution to be established by the Society was an Engineering College, 'Raipur Institute of Technology' in the year 1995. Presently the RIT offers Under Graduate Level course (B.E.) in 7 branches of engineering, 4 Post Graduate Level Courses (M.E./ M.Tech.) in Engineering and Technology and the courses of MCA and MBA."
"Established in the year 2005 'Kaanger Valley Academy'- the first day boarding school of Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh state- affiliated to CBSE."
"In the year 2006, the Society established a Pharmacy Institute to offer under graduate level course of B. Pharmacy. The course of M. Pharmacy started in the Pharmacy Institute in the year 2010."
"In the year 2008, the Society established RITEE College of Nursing to offer B.Sc. (Nursing) course approved by Indian Nursing Council. The Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Course was added at RITCON in the year 2012 with approval by INC."
"In the year 2009, the Society established AICTE-approved RITEE Business School to offer PGDM course."
"In the year 2013, the society established PTRSU-approved RITCOM to offer BBA and B.COM courses."
In the Year 2014, the society established Annamalai University- approved Autonomous RITCOHM to offer 3 Years Degree- B.Sc. in Hotel Management & Tourism, 1 Year Diploma Courses in Food & Beverage Services, Food & Beverage Production, Housekeeping, Front Office, Hotel Operations and 6 Months Diploma in Hotel Operations.
